Anambra State has scored a double victory in Nigeria’s pageant scene.
On Sunday, Faith Ekwebenam was crowned Miss International Nigeria 2025, defeating contestants from Lagos, Bauchi, Edo, Cross River, and Nasarawa.

She will now represent Nigeria at the Miss International pageant in Tokyo, Japan, this November.
Meanwhile, in Lagos, Onyinyechi Basil clinched the Miss Universe Nigeria 2025 crown, surpassing Miss Lagos, Damilola Bolarinde, and joining Miss Bayelsa, Fortune Kurobo, and Miss Ogun, Irene Ikediashi, in the top four.
With both major crowns secured by Anambra, pageant enthusiasts are calling it an unprecedented sweep.
“With Faith and Onyinyechi heading to international stages later this year, Nigeria is poised to shine brighter than ever,” said a spokesperson for the Nigeria Pageant Organisation.
