Chelsea forward Cole Palmer has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the Premier League club until 2034.
The 24-year-old England international was previously contracted to the London club until 2033, but the improved deal extends his stay at Stamford Bridge by another year.
Palmer said he was pleased to commit his future to Chelsea, citing the club’s direction and ambitions as key reasons for signing the new deal.
“Chelsea means a lot to me and I think the club is going in the right direction, so I’m delighted to sign,” he said.
He noted that discussions with the club’s owners, sporting directors, manager and teammates had strengthened his confidence in its ambitions to win major trophies.
Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023 and has recorded 91 goals and assists in 138 appearances for the club.
Despite struggling with a persistent groin problem last season, he has started the current campaign strongly, scoring four goals in seven appearances across all competitions.
Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso defended the forward on Friday, saying Palmer remained committed to England and needed to regain full fitness to deliver his best performances for club and country.
Palmer was left out of England’s World Cup squad by manager Thomas Tuchel, who also said the midfielder had missed too many opportunities to represent the national team after withdrawing from recent Nations League matches.
Palmer’s new contract follows similar long-term deals for Chelsea players Joao Pedro and Pedro Neto, as the club continues to secure the futures of key members of its squad.
