The Federal Capital Territory Football Association (FCT FA) has confirmed that the 2026 FCT FA League will kick off on Monday, July 13, with 24 clubs set to compete across four groups in one of the territory’s biggest grassroots football competitions.
FCT FA Secretary, Alhaji Usman Ilerika, said all arrangements have been concluded to ensure a smooth and successful tournament, with matches scheduled to hold at the Area 10 Old Parade Ground and the Area 3 Playing Ground.
He reaffirmed the association’s commitment to organising a league that reflects the highest standards of professionalism, fairness and integrity.
“The FCT FA is committed to organising a standard league that reflects the highest level of professionalism. We assure all participating clubs of a level playing ground throughout the competition and urge every team to exhibit discipline, respect for the rules and the spirit of fair play,” Ilerika said.
The association also urged clubs, players, coaches and officials to uphold discipline and sportsmanship throughout the competition, stressing that football development in the FCT can only thrive in an atmosphere of mutual respect and adherence to the rules.
