Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara appoints Dr Dagogo Wokoma as SSG and Barrister Sunny Ewule as Chief of Staff with immediate effect.
Governor Siminalayi Fubara has formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) after receiving his membership card at Government House in Port Harcourt.
The card was presented on Friday by the Rivers State representative of the APC National Chairman, Tony Okocha.
Fubara said his defection is aimed at strengthening unity and development across Rivers State. He expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for supporting the state during what he described as its most challenging periods.

The governor added that aligning with the federal government places Rivers State in a stronger position ahead of the 2027 elections. He assured the APC national leadership that the state would remain a solid base for the party, promising to support its executives and sustain activities across all local government areas.
Fubara also thanked party leaders and supporters, urging them to increase their commitment as the state enters what he called a new phase of political stability and growth.
APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, represented by Pius Yilwatda, said the governor’s defection was patriotic and in the best interest of the state.
