NAF fighter jets destroy terrorist convoy during Operation Fasan Yamma air raid in Niger State.
The Air Component of Operation Fasan Yamma has killed no fewer than 95 terrorists in a major airstrike around Ragada and Warari villages in Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State.
A credible intelligence source told News Men that Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets intercepted the heavily armed terrorists on Tuesday at about 1500 hours, acting on actionable intelligence.
The bandits were reportedly moving from the Zamfara axis through Kebbi State toward Rijau, Niger State, armed with sophisticated weapons and riding 108 motorcycles.
According to the source, the NAF jets struck at coordinates 10° 54′ 1.51” N | 5° 25′ 4.96” E, between Ragada and Warari villages.

“Out of the 108 motorcycles, only 13 managed to escape. The rest were neutralised,” the source said, adding that the airstrikes dealt a major blow to the terror network operating in the region.
Residents of Makuku, Warari, and Ragada expressed joy and appreciation to the Federal Government and security forces for their commitment to fighting banditry and terrorism in the Northwest.
The military has intensified Operation Fasan Yamma to dismantle terror networks and restore security across Niger, Zamfara, and Kebbi states, where attacks on rural communities have been rampant
