New NSCDC Commandant Abbas Mohammed for Kwara
The new Commandant of the Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abbas Mohammed, has warned criminals, vandals, and economic saboteurs to stay away from the state, declaring that security operations will be intensified to curb illegal activities.
Speaking during his maiden press conference in Ilorin on Wednesday, Mohammed said the command would adopt proactive and decisive strategies to tackle all forms of criminal activity and enhance public safety.
“Kwara State will not be a haven for criminals. We are fully prepared to deploy all necessary operational strategies to ensure the safety and security of lives and property,” he said.
Mohammed, who recently assumed office as the 16th substantive state commandant, reaffirmed the corps’ commitment to protecting critical national assets and infrastructure while strengthening intelligence-driven operations across the state.
