Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara appoints Dr Dagogo Wokoma as SSG and Barrister Sunny Ewule as Chief of Staff with immediate effect.
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has appointed a new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and a new Chief of Staff in a fresh shake-up of key positions at Government House, Port Harcourt.
In a Special Government Announcement issued on Thursday, the governor named Dr Dagogo S.A. Wokoma as the new Secretary to the State Government and Barrister Sunny Ewule as Chief of Staff.
The statement, signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Onwuka Nzeshi, said the appointments take immediate effect.
“The Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has appointed Dr Dagogo S.A. Wokoma as the Secretary to the State Government and Barrister Sunny Ewule as the Chief of Staff,” the statement read.
“Both appointments are with immediate effect. The new appointees will be sworn in at 2:00 p.m. today, Thursday, February 26, 2026.
“The swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Executive Council Chamber, Government House, Port Harcourt.”
No official reason was provided for the exit of the former occupants of the offices.
