FilmOne Studios has recorded a major box office breakthrough as ‘Oversabi Aunty,’ the 2025 feature film by Toyin Abraham, surpassed N1 billion in ticket sales, cementing its position among Nollywood’s highest-grossing cinema releases.
The film has grossed N1,081,177,001 at the Nigerian box office, marking a significant commercial milestone for both the actress-producer and the studio.
The achievement also reinforces the growing box office strength of the creative partnership between Toyin Abraham and FilmOne Studios, following the success of ‘Alakada Bad and Boujee,’ which earned over N500 million in 2025.
Group CEO of Filmhouse Group, which oversees FilmOne Entertainment, Filmhouse Cinemas and FilmOne Studios, Kene Okwuosa, said the latest milestone reflects consistent growth and audience expansion.
“This milestone is significant not only because Oversabi Aunty has crossed N1 billion, but because of the trajectory it confirms,” Okwuosa said.
“The progression from N500 million in 2025 to N1 billion in 2026 reflects sustained audience growth, disciplined execution, and the value of long-term creative partnerships.”

He added that the film’s performance highlights the effectiveness of FilmOne’s integrated production and distribution structure.
Chief Content Officer at FilmOne Entertainment, Ladun Awobokun, said the success represents more than just a financial record.
“What stands out is not just the milestone, but the momentum behind it,” Awobokun said.
“Growth from N500 million to N1 billion across consecutive years is the result of belief in the talent, operational discipline, and close collaboration across production and distribution. Oversabi Aunty is a strong validation of that approach.”
