Nottingham Forest have parted ways with manager Sean Dyche following a string of poor results that have left the club hovering just above the Premier League relegation zone.
News of Dyche’s dismissal emerged at 12:30am on Thursday, roughly three hours after Forest’s goalless draw against bottom-placed Wolves.
The decision makes Dyche the third manager to be sacked by the club this season, after Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou — the latter lasting just 39 days at the City Ground.
Forest opted to terminate Dyche’s contract after a three-match winless streak in the Premier League. The run included stalemates against Crystal Palace and Wolves, as well as a damaging 3-1 defeat to relegation rivals Leeds United last Friday.

Dyche departs with Forest sitting three points above the drop zone and 12 league matches remaining in the campaign. Despite avoiding defeat against Wolves, the club’s inability to convert performances into wins appears to have sealed his fate.
Club owner Evangelos Marinakis is believed to be dissatisfied with Forest’s struggles in front of goal and the team’s continued proximity to the relegation places, despite the attacking options available in the squad.
The timing of the decision gives Forest a brief window to regroup. The team now faces a seven-day break before their Europa League play-off clash against Fenerbahce next Thursday.
Players have been given Thursday off, with no immediate club activities scheduled as attention turns to appointing Dyche’s successor.
Forest’s managerial instability this season underscores the mounting pressure at the City Ground as the club battles to secure its Premier League status while juggling European commitments
