The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, says the Federal Government is preparing to unveil the identities of individuals and networks responsible for financing terrorism in Nigeria.
Speaking on Sunday during an interview on a televised channel, Bwala said the Tinubu administration has begun taking “far-reaching decisions” on national security, adding that Nigerians will soon see concrete steps to expose and dismantle terrorist support systems.

According to him, government efforts are intensifying as security agencies close in on those funding and enabling extremist groups across the country.
“The government is making decisive interventions. In the coming days, Nigerians will know who the terrorists are and those funding them,” Bwala stated.
He emphasised that terrorism has evolved into a global threat that no country can tackle alone, noting that international cooperation is now critical due to the transnational nature of extremist activities.
“Since the events of 9/11, terrorism has been treated as a global security issue. Any nation where terrorists operate becomes a concern to the rest of the world,” he said.
Bwala explained that extremist operations—which were once concentrated in parts of the Middle East—have increasingly shifted toward the Sahel, creating new hotspots of instability. He added that global powers now recognise the urgency of supporting countries like Nigeria, where terrorist groups continue to attempt expansion.
