Napoli’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, has dismissed claims of any ongoing transfer negotiations for Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray.
Manna clarified that no club has contacted Napoli regarding Osimhen’s €75 million release clause, despite speculation linking the striker to Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain and Premier League giants Manchester United.
Speaking to the media, Manna stated, “Nobody has talked to us about activating his release clause.”
While Osimhen remains with Galatasaray, his loan agreement allows him to leave in the January transfer window if a club meets the stipulated €75 million buyout clause.
Reports suggest that PSG and Manchester United are closely monitoring the situation and could be prepared to make a move during the winter transfer window.
Osimhen has been a key player for both Napoli and Galatasaray, earning a reputation as one of Europe’s top strikers, which has attracted interest from elite clubs across the continent.
