Popular skit maker and content creator Sydney Egere, better known as Sydney Talker, says he has remained celibate for four years, describing the decision as a sacrifice that helped him focus on personal growth and career development.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, the comedian said July 27 would mark four years since he last shared a bed with a woman, adding that the journey had been challenging but worthwhile.
“It has not been easy, but I thank God. It is not by my power nor by my strength but by His grace,” he said.
Sydney Talker explained that stepping away from emotional distractions allowed him to study Nigeria’s content creation industry and identify opportunities for long-term growth.
He said the period gave him time to develop ideas and practical solutions that could help content creators build sustainable careers and increase their earning potential.
According to the comedian, his decision was motivated by a desire to prioritise discipline, innovation and the future of the content creation industry over short-term distractions.
