Kada BSC and Kebbi Fishers BSC emerged as the biggest winners on the opening day of Round Two of the 2026 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) in Kaduna, delivering impressive performances as the race for Super Four qualification intensified.
Former champions Kada BSC secured a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Niger BSC in a thrilling encounter. Tanko Emmanuel led the charge with a brace, while Dozie Frank and Sani Hassan also got on the scoresheet to seal an important win for the hosts.
Niger BSC fought bravely through goals from Olayinka Joseph, Abraham Jude, and Hassan Abubakar, but fell just short in an entertaining contest.
The standout result of the day came from Kebbi Fishers BSC, who produced a commanding display to overwhelm defending champions Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors 7-2.
Hamza Manga and Sadiqee Umar each scored twice for the three-time champions, while Taiwo Adams, Badmus Fuad, and goalkeeper Nuhu Nuhu added their names to the scoresheet in a dominant team performance. Peter Prosper and Patrick Onyebuchi grabbed consolation goals for the Warriors.
In another exciting fixture, Ibom BSC and Jigawa Golden Stars BSC battled to a thrilling 3-3 draw in regulation time. Elijah Eboh, Uwana Ufo, and Aliyu Aliyu scored for Ibom BSC, while Ali Rabiu starred with a brilliant hat-trick for Jigawa Golden Stars.
The match was eventually decided via penalties, with Jigawa Golden Stars claiming a 3-2 shootout victory after a dramatic contest.
The youth tournament also delivered exciting action, as Mustard Seed defeated El-Cruzero 2-1, while Young Brazil secured a convincing 4-2 win over Kaduna State University.
With crucial points already at stake, attention now turns to Saturday’s fixtures as teams continue their quest for a place in the Super Four and ultimately the 2026 NBSL title.
