Gambia-born actress Rosy Meurer has publicly reaffirmed her commitment to her husband, Olakunle Churchill, declaring that she would “take a bullet” for him in recognition of what she describes as his unwavering support and loyalty.
Speaking during a recent interview, Meurer said her devotion is rooted in the way Churchill has consistently shown up for her, long before they started a family together. She emphasized that her affection is not tied to material gifts but to emotional presence and care.
“Oh, yes, and we love each other. Yes, me, I love Churchill. I love Churchill because I can take a bullet for him. At least he has proven to me he’s been by my side all this while. He has never abandoned me in any way. He has always come through for me. He’s the father of my kids. He has not betrayed me. He has not offended me. We have not fought to an extent where we are throwing blows or anything. So why won’t I take a bullet for the father of my kids?” she said.

The actress disclosed that her attachment to Churchill predates their children, describing herself as “madly in love” with him even in the early days of their relationship.
“Before I even started having kids with him, I was very in love with him. Madly in love. It got to a point that you can’t even tell me at home what to do. Once Churchill comes, when Churchill says something, it’s final. I don’t care what anyone says. They will still tell me, ‘When it is Churchill, you worship him.’ I don’t worship him, I just love him,” she added.
Addressing criticism that she places her husband above others, Meurer dismissed the notion, insisting her loyalty is simply a response to how she is treated.
“He treats me well. You would love who treats you well. Me, I don’t demand much. If you just show me small love like this, that’s it. It doesn’t even have to do with money. You don’t even have to buy me gifts. Just sweet talk me, tell me sweet things, you have got me, and that’s just it. If you add gifts, it’s bonus. But I will never complain that this person didn’t buy for me or that my eyes are outside. And he knows this about me.”
Her remarks come amid lingering public scrutiny over her relationship with Churchill, who was previously married to actress Tonto Dikeh.
Meurer has repeatedly denied allegations that she played a role in the breakdown of that marriage, maintaining that her relationship with Churchill is founded on genuine love rather than material interest.
