Governor Ademola Adeleke is named Osun coordinator of the Tinubu 2027 Presidential Campaign Council as the Imole Campaign Council targets 1.5 million votes.
The Imole Campaign Council says it is targeting 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, following the appointment of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke as the state coordinator of the president’s campaign council.
The council’s Director-General, Senator Olalere Oyewumi, disclosed this in a statement, saying the Accord Party’s structure in Osun would support efforts to secure Tinubu’s re-election.
The council welcomed Adeleke’s inclusion in the revised All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council list, describing his appointment as recognition of his ability to mobilise support for the president in the state.
Oyewumi said the council would work to meet the 1.5 million-vote target, adding that Tinubu’s confidence in Adeleke would not be misplaced.
The council also urged residents to support Adeleke, linking the governor’s performance in office to its call for votes for Tinubu.
Adeleke won the Osun governorship election on the Accord Party platform with 511,067 votes, defeating the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes.
