President Bola Tinubu will present the 2025 proposed budget to a joint session of the National Assembly on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
The announcement was made by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during a plenary session, where he disclosed that the President had officially communicated his intention to appear before the lawmakers.
“The president has made his intention known to the National Assembly to present the 2025 budget to the joint session on the 17th of December, 2024,” Akpabio stated.
The proposed budget, totaling ₦47.9 trillion, was earlier unveiled by the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu. The presentation is expected to outline key fiscal policies and spending priorities for the upcoming year.
This marks a critical step in advancing the administration’s economic agenda and ensuring timely approval of the budget for smooth governance in 2025.
