Federal Government has launched a new Impact Challenge to strengthen results from its 3 Million Tech Talent (3MTT) digital skills programme as it prepares to scale nationwide.
The Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, announced the initiative on Tuesday.
He said over 135,000 Nigerians have been trained across three pilot cohorts, while community-led learning has reached more than 300,000 people. The programme has also helped create about 15,000 job and opportunity pathways.
According to the minister, more than 1.8 million Nigerians are currently in the 3MTT pipeline as the government works towards training three million citizens in in-demand digital skills.

Tijani said the Impact Challenge will help assess how the programme is translating skills into jobs and real economic outcomes.
Participants are required to share “before and after” stories of their 3MTT experience on social media using designated hashtags. Entries close on February 14, 2026.
Selected participants will receive prizes including laptops, tablets and data bundles.
