Heartland Queens and Nasarawa Amazons have secured places in the final of the 2026 Women’s President Federation Cup, setting up a highly anticipated showdown between two of Nigeria’s leading women’s football clubs.
Heartland Queens defeated FC Robo Queens 2-1 in a closely contested semi-final encounter. Umejiaku Oluebube gave Heartland the lead before Tosin Rafiu equalised for FC Robo Queens.
Faith Samson scored the decisive goal late in the match to send the Owerri-based side into the final and keep alive their hopes of winning the national title.
In the second semi-final, Nasarawa Amazons overcame Sunshine Queens 2-1 in a dramatic contest. Hembafan Ayatsea opened the scoring for the Lafia side, but Toyin Oyewole restored parity for Sunshine Queens in stoppage time.
However, Alani Jumoke responded moments later with the winning goal to seal Nasarawa Amazons’ place in the final.
The results highlight the growing competitiveness of women’s football in Nigeria, with both teams now chasing the prestigious President Federation Cup title and an opportunity to strengthen their status in the domestic game.
