The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced Thursday, July 9, 2026, as the official passing-out date for members of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream I across the country.
The scheme disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, noting that activities leading to the completion of the service year commenced on June 23.

According to the NYSC, the winding-up exercise will be conducted on a low-key basis and will culminate in the issuance of Certificates of National Service to corps members who have successfully fulfilled all service requirements.
“The Management of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has approved Thursday, 9th July, 2026, as the passing-out date for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream One Corps Members.
“The series of activities heralding the event will commence on Tuesday 23rd June, 2026, and will include Job Advisory and Counselling (JAC), by the NYSC and other relevant agencies, registration and clearing of Corps Members by Local Government Inspectors (LGIs), as well as the signing of final clearance by the Zonal Inspectors,” the statement read.
The scheme explained that the pre-passing-out activities are designed to prepare corps members for life after service while ensuring that all administrative and clearance processes are completed before the issuance of certificates.
NYSC further stressed that only corps members who have satisfactorily completed the requirements of the national service programme will be eligible to receive their Certificates of National Service.
Director-General of the scheme, Brig.-Gen. Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated the outgoing corps members on the successful completion of their service year and wished them a smooth winding-up and passing-out exercise.
He also urged them to remain worthy ambassadors of the NYSC and uphold the values of patriotism, discipline, and national unity as they transition into the next phase of their lives.
