Teams continue to push for early advantage in the 2026 National Division One Volleyball League as Day Two delivered a series of tightly contested matches at the Moshood Abiola Stadium Package B in Abuja.
Niger Brass produced one of the strongest performances of the day in the women’s category, defeating Kuje Spikers 3–0. They controlled the match from start to finish, winning 25–17, 25–22, and 25–21.
NY Spikers also claimed a hard-fought victory after edging QAT Spikers 3–2 in one of the most dramatic matches of the day. Coached by Lizzy Asemah, NY Spikers recovered from setbacks in a fluctuating contest to win 24–26, 25–14, 24–26, 25–15, 15–11.
Caliphate Spikers survived another tense encounter, beating Plateau Rocks 3–2. They started strongly with a dominant 25–7 opening set but were pushed to the limit before sealing the decider 15–10.
Fire Fighters dominate men’s category
In the men’s division, NAF Rockets recorded a straight-sets win over Wikki Spikers, taking all three sets 25–23 in a closely fought match.

Fire Fighters also impressed, coming from a set down to defeat Plateau Rocks 3–1. They won 25–22, 20–25, 25–12, 25–23 in a competitive encounter.
Day One results
Earlier results on Day One saw NIS defeat Kwara 3–0, Light beat Wikki 3–0, Rhino overcome NAF 3–1, and Sword edge Kada 3–2 in a closely contested fixture.
League outlook
The competition continues in Abuja as teams intensify their push for promotion and national honours in the Division One Volleyball League.
