The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed 2,350 operatives across Kwara State to strengthen security ahead of the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
The deployment, approved by the Kwara State Commandant, Bala Bodinga, is aimed at protecting critical infrastructure, preventing crime, and ensuring public safety during the festive period.
According to the command, personnel have been stationed across all 16 local government areas, with operatives drawn from specialised units including counter-terrorism, anti-vandal, and chemical hazard response teams.
The operation is based on intelligence assessments and threat mapping to identify high-risk locations, flashpoints, and vulnerable areas requiring increased surveillance.

Area commanders and divisional officers have been directed to intensify patrols, strengthen monitoring, and maintain rapid response capabilities within their jurisdictions.
