Atalanta fought back to beat Chelsea 2-1 in the Champions League on Tuesday, extending the Premier League side’s winless run to four matches.
Chelsea went ahead through Joao Pedro’s first Champions League goal, but Atalanta seized control after the break. Gianluca Scamacca headed in the equaliser before Charles De Ketelaere struck a late winner after earlier assisting the leveler.
The Belgian forward proved unplayable, continuing his strong European form with six goals and seven assists in his last 12 Champions League games.
Chelsea, 11th in the Premier League, have now failed to win since their 3-0 victory over Barcelona on 25 November. With 10 points from six league-phase matches, their push for a top-eight finish — and automatic qualification for the last 16 — remains uncertain. They face Pafos at home and Napoli away in January.

Atalanta, third in the group, have recorded wins over Club Brugge, Marseille, Eintracht Frankfurt and now Chelsea as they target a place in the knockout round.
Enzo Maresca made five changes from Saturday’s goalless draw at Bournemouth, resting Cole Palmer and leaving teenage forward Estevão on the bench. Chelsea’s early momentum faded, and their defensive lapses allowed Atalanta to take control in the closing stages.
De Ketelaere sealed the comeback on 83 minutes, driving forward unchallenged and firing a shot that deflected off Marc Cucurella into the net.
