Billionaire entrepreneur, Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has revealed plans to retire from active business by age 60, saying he is already building a system that will sustain his legacy beyond his working years.
In a recent interview with content creator onejoblessboy, shared on Instagram, the 50-year-old businessman said his retirement vision is centered on enjoying life, traveling round the world, and spending quality time with his wife.
“I’ll retire in the next 10 years, when I’m 60. I’ll travel the world, and I’ll give my wife the best that life has to offer. The idea is for these kids to become independent and live their own lives. No more work,” he said.
Obi Cubana, who has built a reputation for his luxury lifestyle and philanthropy, explained that his current work pace involving frequent meetings, events, and travels, is part of a broader plan to secure financial independence and a comfortable future.
“One day, this body will get weak. So that’s why it’s important to position things that will work for you in the next 10 years. If you see me in a jet, at a meeting, or at an event, it’s all part of the plan,” he added.
