The Masters of Industry Awards, a global recognition platform celebrating excellence in business and leadership, is set to return to Africa after two editions in the United States.
Scheduled for November 29, at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, the 2025 edition marks the event’s transformation into a Pan-African initiative, spotlighting leaders and innovators shaping the continent’s economic future.
Launched in Jacksonville, Florida, the awards were originally designed to honour Africans and African-Americans driving socio-economic impact within the U.S. black community.
With its homecoming, the ceremony will now recognise outstanding achievements across finance, technology, agriculture, real estate, energy, manufacturing, education, and public service.
Themed “Trailblazers of a Rising Continent,” this year’s edition will celebrate individuals and organisations whose leadership, innovation, and ethical practices are driving sustainable growth and redefining Africa’s place in the global economy.
Convener of the awards, Ethelbert Nwanegbo, said the decision to bring the event back to Africa was both symbolic and strategic.
“After two impactful editions in the United States, it became imperative to return the Masters of Industry Awards to Africa, where the heartbeat of our vision truly lies. This platform is both a celebration of excellence and a call to action,” he noted.
The Lagos ceremony will feature a red carpet reception, VIP networking, keynote addresses by African and global business leaders, and presentations across 19 award categories.
Organised by Business Elites Africa, the event will also provide strategic partnerships and media opportunities for sponsors, with coverage expected across Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, the U.S., and the U.K.
