Six suspended members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly have defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC)
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) is holding its inaugural meeting in Abuja ahead of the party’s planned campaign kickoff in Kaduna.
The meeting is taking place behind closed doors at the council’s secretariat, one week after the council was inaugurated.
Although Journalists have been denied access to the venue, while some council members were seen at the entrance attempting to gain entry.
The major highway leading to the secretariat has also been blocked, causing disruption around the venue.
The council is expected to discuss preparations for the APC’s campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Further details about the meeting are expected to emerge.
