Edo Queens players celebrate after clinching the 2025/26 NWFL Premiership title and booking a place in the WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers.
Edo Queens have emerged champions of the 2025/26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership after playing out a goalless draw against Bayelsa Queens to secure the title.
The Benin City-based side’s triumph earned them a place in the WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers, where they will compete for a ticket to the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The league also recognised outstanding individual performances during the season.
FC Robo Queens midfielder Adegbuyi Oluwakemi won the Player of the Season Award for her impressive contributions throughout the campaign, while Abia Angels goalkeeper Fatima Oloko claimed the Golden Glove Award as the league’s best goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, Rivers Angels received the Fair Play Award in recognition of their discipline and exemplary conduct throughout the season
