The maiden edition of the Profilled World Homes Football Tournament concluded on Sunday, March 29, 2026, after three days of grassroots action focused on talent discovery and community engagement.
Eight teams competed from March 27 to 29 in a showcase of emerging football talent. In the final, Profilled Ellisa defeated Profilled Classic 3–1 to become the tournament’s first champions, while Profilled Extreme claimed third place with a 5–1 win over Profilled Galaxy.

Beyond the results, the event blended sport and entertainment, drawing notable personalities including former Super Eagles midfielder and AFCON winner Sunday Mba, fashion entrepreneur Seyi Vodi, and entertainers Brain Jotter, Nedu Wazobia, Chuks D General, Kobo Master, and Shortcut.

Speaking after the final, Managing Director of Profilled World Homes, Promise Egwim, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the tournament.
“I feel so fulfilled because we never knew it was going to come out this beautiful,” he said.

Dr. Egwim noted that the competition was created as a pathway to identify and promote young football talents.
“We are trying to encourage talents, starting with football. The idea is to select the best players, promote them, and connect them with clubs and trial opportunities where they can be discovered,” he added.

Encouraged by the turnout and performance level, the organisers are already planning expansion for future editions, including a possible move to standard stadium venues.
“With this success, we are encouraged to do more. The next edition will definitely be bigger and better. We want to show the world that Nigeria has talents that can excel internationally,” Egwim said.
He also commended the participating teams for their sportsmanship and resilience.
“They are all good. Just that one team must win. I encourage them to keep working hard and never give up. Luck can shine on them one day.”
The tournament’s debut has laid a foundation for what organisers hope will become a recurring platform for grassroots football development and talent exposure in Nigeria.
