Afrobeats stars Tems and Burna Boy have set a new benchmark for African music on the global stage, becoming the African artists with the most entries on the Billboard U.S. Hot 100.
Their historic achievement comes after features on J. Cole’s latest album, The Fall-Off. Tems appears on “Bounce Road Blues” with Future, which debuted at number 34, while Burna Boy is featured on “Only You”, debuting at 78. These entries bring both artists’ totals to eight on the Hot 100.

For Tems, 2026 has been particularly remarkable. She now holds three Hot 100 entries this year alone, making her the African artist with the most entries in 2026.
Earlier, she became the first African female artist to reach seven Hot 100 entries, tying with Burna Boy and South African group Seether.
Burna Boy has also made history in a different way, becoming the first African artist to appear on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive years, with entries in 2021 (Loved By You), 2022 (Last Last), 2023 (Sittin’ On Top Of The World and Talibans II), 2024 (Just Like Me and We Pray), 2025 (WGFT), and now 2026 (Only You).
