The newly appointed Commissioner of Police in Plateau State, CP Bassey Ewah, has assured residents of improved safety, pledging to sustain and strengthen the state’s current peace.
CP Ewah gave the assurance on Thursday during his first briefing with journalists at the police command headquarters in Jos.
He said his leadership would focus on professionalism, discipline and accountability, stressing that policing under his watch would not follow old routines.
The commissioner said security would improve through stronger cooperation with other security agencies and the public, adding that community support remains key to preventing crime.

CP Ewah urged officers to uphold discipline and work closely with sister agencies, saying his priority is to protect lives, restore public confidence and keep Plateau peaceful.
