The Corporate Affairs Commission says the revised service fees will take effect from August 1, aiming to support digital service improvements and meet rising operational costs.
The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced a review of its service fees, which will take effect from August 1, 2025.
In a statement released Tuesday, the commission says the decision followed a comprehensive evaluation of current economic conditions, rising operational costs, and stakeholder input.
“This decision follows the careful consideration of prevailing economic realities, rising operational costs as well as engagement of critical stakeholders ahead of implementation,” the Commission noted.
The revised fee structure affects companies, business names, limited partnerships, and incorporated trustees. It reflects what the commission calls a “modest and competitive” adjustment designed to support digital transformation and enhance service delivery.
Among the notable changes:
- Voluntary striking-off fees now range from ₦50,000 for small companies to ₦100,000 for public companies.
- Relisting of companies will cost ₦50,000 (Ltd/GTE) and ₦100,000 (public companies).
- Due diligence search (self-service) is set at ₦50,000 across board.
- Extension of AGM date now costs ₦100,000 for public companies, and ₦50,000 for others.
- Historical search reports will cost between ₦20,000–₦30,000, depending on request type.
- Certified True Copies and address restriction requests attract charges of ₦5,000 and ₦25,000, respectively.
For business names and limited partnerships, similar updates apply:
- Voluntary striking off: ₦10,000 (business names), ₦25,000 (LPs)
- Relisting: ₦25,000
- Change of name: ₦10,000
- Letter of good standing: ₦10,000
- Certified true copies: ₦5,000
However, name reservation remains at ₦1,000, while restricted word name reservation stays at ₦5,000.
The Commission emphasized its continued dedication to improving customer experience.
“We remain committed to transparency, accountability, and customer satisfaction as we strive to build a more resilient and responsive corporate regulatory environment,” the CAC said.

Legal practitioners, business owners, and compliance officers are advised to review the new structure to ensure smooth transactions ahead of the August rollout.
