Political tension rises in Osun as APC demands probe into alleged payroll fraud.
Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate alleged payroll fraud in the state.
The allegation stems from a dispute between the Osun State Government and a consulting firm, Sally Tibbot Limited, over the implementation of a staff audit report.
Speaking in Osogbo on Friday, APC spokesperson Kola Olabisi said an independent investigation is needed to determine the level of involvement of all parties.
He raised concerns over the handling of the audit findings and questioned the reported involvement of Dr Deji Adeleke, urging clarity on his role in the process.

The APC asked anti-corruption agencies to conduct a thorough probe to ensure accountability.
In response, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun dismissed the claims. The state PDP chairman, Sunday Bisi, accused the APC of defending what he described as a flawed audit report.
