Emergency responders work to clear a fatal crash site on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Three people have died and several others injured in a collision involving multiple vehicles on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).
The crash occurred near the Secretariat, towards the Otedola Bridge, early on Tuesday.
According to a passerby, the collision occurred when the Audi with the plate number YAB742CN) ran into the slowly moving truck,” it said.
LASTMA said an Audi car ran into a slow-moving truck, causing severe damage to the vehicle. The truck driver reportedly fled the scene.
Emergency responders, including LASAMBUS and police officers, are attending to the injured and managing traffic. Authorities have advised motorists to drive cautiously as efforts continue to clear the road and restore normal flow.
