The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Napoleon Ukalikpe of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the by-election in Ahoada East Constituency II, Rivers State.
The Returning Officer, Rosemary Ogu, announced the result at the INEC office in Ahoada town.
Ukalikpe polled 3,980 votes to secure victory in the state assembly contest.
As of the time of this report, 86 out of 87 polling unit results had been uploaded to INEC’s Results Viewing Portal, representing 98.85% of the total results.

The by-election fills the vacant seat in the Rivers State House of Assembly.
The outcome strengthens APC’s presence in the constituency and concludes weeks of political campaigns in the area.
