The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reconstituted and expanded its Central Coordination Committee for the 2026 National Convention, increasing its membership from 73 to 90 in a move aimed at improving organisational effectiveness and geopolitical representation.
In a statement, the party said the expansion was designed to strengthen administrative oversight and ensure broader participation from Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones as preparations intensify for the convention.
The restructured committee will be chaired by former Katsina State Governor and ex-Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Bello-Masari.

Former Senate President, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, has been appointed Vice Chairman One, while the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, will serve as Vice Chairman Two.
The party also named Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, as Secretary of the committee.
According to the APC, the decision reflects its resolve to run an inclusive and transparent convention process anchored on internal democracy and fair national representation.
The party added that the enlarged structure would enhance strategic coordination and administrative efficiency as it works towards a successful 2026 National Convention.
