Striker Tammy Abraham has completed a permanent transfer from Roma to Turkish side Besiktas for £11.2 million, clearing the way for his anticipated move back to the Premier League with Aston Villa.
The 28-year-old travelled to the UK on Friday and underwent a medical on Saturday after Villa agreed an £18 million deal with Besiktas.
Abraham had joined Besiktas on loan from Roma last summer, with the Turkish club obligated to make the move permanent. Despite not wanting to sell, Besiktas have reluctantly agreed to let the England international return to England.

Besiktas confirmed the permanent transfer in a statement:
“The conditions in the transfer contract of Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham have been fulfilled and the provision for the permanent transfer of the player has come into effect. In this context, a transfer fee of €13m will be paid to AS Roma.”
Abraham has been in strong form this season, scoring 12 goals in 24 appearances for Besiktas. The England international has earned 11 caps and previously spent three years at Roma, scoring 39 goals in 120 games and helping the club win the Europa Conference League in 2022.
The striker also spent the 2024-25 season on loan at AC Milan, netting 10 goals in 44 appearances. His move to Aston Villa marks a return to the Premier League, where he first rose to prominence with Chelsea.
Abraham’s return to England is expected to boost Villa’s attacking options ahead of the remainder of the season, as the club aims to strengthen its squad for both domestic and European challenges.
