Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit, Zone D, Bauchi, has intercepted smuggled vehicles, petroleum products, donkey skins and meat, as well as second-hand clothing, valued at ₦229.4 million.
The Comptroller, Abdullahi Ka’ila, disclosed this during a press briefing on Friday, saying the seizures resulted from intelligence-driven operations across the zone.
Items seized include three luxury vehicles, a Citroën Jumper bus, a Peugeot Boxer, 14,750 litres of petrol, 283 fresh donkey skins, 102 sacks of fried donkey meat, and used clothing.
Ka’ila said the operation underscores Customs’ commitment to protecting the economy, public health, and national security, warning that smuggling undermines local industries and government revenue.

The seized donkey skins and meat were handed over to NESREA for investigation and proper disposal.
