Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has named Mr Sani Musa Daura as his Senior Special Assistant on Protocol Matters, drawing on decades of institutional experience within the FCT Administration.
The appointment was confirmed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.

According to the statement, Daura is “a seasoned civil servant with over 30 years’ experience in the FCTA Protocol Department,” where he has built a long career managing official engagements and state protocol.
Daura has served as Director of FCT Protocol since 2019 and is due to retire from the civil service on January 24, 2026. His new role as Senior Special Assistant will officially take effect from the date of his retirement.
