Social media personality Amadou Elizabeth, popularly known as Jarvis, has spoken about her mother’s declining health and the emotional burden of navigating public life under constant online scrutiny.
In a video shared on X, the TikToker expressed deep concern that her mother’s medical condition could be exposed and weaponised by critics on social media, a prospect she described as her greatest fear.
“So my mom is actually sick. What I’m saying is that online is crazy. Tomorrow they might video her in her condition and try to use it against me,” Jarvis said.
“That’s the one thing I’ve been scared of, that nobody should find out that my mom is not well and they should not come and speak against me on social media,” she added.

Jarvis pushed back against assumptions that wealth or public success automatically translates to solutions, stressing that her mother’s illness is beyond financial intervention.
“Social media will always say, ‘Oh, why didn’t you take care of her? You have all the money, you have everything.’ But the thing is that at this point, money can’t solve it. It’s just God, faith, belief,” she explained.

The content creator also paid tribute to her mother’s resilience, describing her as the backbone of their family after their Senegalese father exited their lives. According to Jarvis, her mother single-handedly raised the children without paternal support.
“I love my mom and she tried. She tried, like she really tried. She fought, she defended us without any father’s support,” she emphasized.
Beyond her mother’s health challenges, Jarvis revealed a deeply personal struggle to reconnect with her estranged father, whom she said stopped communicating with her during her childhood.
“From the beginning of my birth, he used to call me Aminata and I just giggled… But it got to a point when the whole communication line stopped. Till today, I haven’t heard from him,” she said.
“I’m the one searching. I’ve gone to Senegal. I’m still trying my best,” Jarvis added.
