President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Lagos for Europe as part of his end-of-year break, ahead of an official engagement in the United Arab Emirates.
A statement by the Presidential Spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, said the President will later proceed from Europe to Abu Dhabi to attend the 2026 edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) Summit, scheduled for early January.
According to the statement, President Tinubu was invited to the summit by the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is a global platform that brings together leaders from government, business and civil society to discuss practical solutions to climate change, energy transition and sustainable development.
The 2026 summit, themed “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go,” will focus on turning global sustainability ambitions into concrete actions, with emphasis on innovation, finance and human development.
President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after the conclusion of the summit.
