President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has congratulated Christians, on the celebration of Christmas, urging them to promote peace, love, unity, and generosity.
In a Christmas message issued on Wednesday, and signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio stressed the importance of kindness and compassion, especially towards the less privileged during the Yuletide.
The Senate President encouraged Nigerians to remember those in need and extend a helping hand, noting that the birth of Jesus Christ represents peace, love, sacrifice, and generosity.

“On behalf of my family, constituents, the Senate, and the entire 10th National Assembly, I heartily rejoice with Christians on this joyful occasion of Christmas,” Akpabio said.
He also called on Nigerians of other faiths to join in the celebration, urging tolerance and mutual respect.
“I invite our brothers and sisters of other faiths to celebrate with us. Let us show love, tolerate one another, and strive to be our brothers’ keepers, both during this period and beyond,” he added.
Akpabio further urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and steadfast despite the country’s challenges, while offering prayers for national peace, unity, and progress.
Expressing optimism about Nigeria’s future, the Senate President said the country is moving in the right direction under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and appealed to citizens to continue supporting government efforts for better days ahead.
