Bagos: PDP acted like a market square by expelling Wike without due process.
Former House of Reps member Dachung Bagos says the PDP messed up by expelling FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and 10 other big names without following the party’s own rules.
Bagos, who spoke on Channels TV, compared the move to taking decisions “in a market square,” stressing that you can’t suspend or expel people with just a voice vote.
According to him, PDP should have set up a proper disciplinary committee, as required by its constitution, before taking such a major step.
When asked if the party should have disciplined Wike and others earlier, Bagos said timing wasn’t the biggest issue due process was.

“If you want to clean your house, do it well,” he said. “If due process wasn’t followed, then this kind of confusion is what you get.”
Bagos also warned that the PDP crisis is far from over.
“As things stand now, I don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel,” he added.
What Happened at the PDP Convention?
At the PDP’s national convention in Ibadan on November 15, the party expelled Wike, Ayodele Fayose, national secretary Samuel Anyanwu, and eight others for “anti-party activities.”
The motion was moved by PDP chieftain Bode George and seconded by the Bauchi State PDP chairman. Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed then put it to a vote, which was adopted by delegates.
But the move didn’t get full support. Governors Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa) and Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau) openly disagreed.
Fintiri said the expulsion wasn’t in the party’s interest and warned against actions that could “deepen the crisis.”
Mutfwang added that the matter wasn’t discussed by the PDP Governors’ Forum or the NEC, insisting the proposal didn’t reflect his position.
The expulsion has now added one more twist to the already complicated internal war tearing the PDP apart.
