Afrobeats artist Spyro has declared that he is financially secure regardless of whether he continues to release new music, crediting his steady income to high-value corporate performances.
Speaking on the Adesope Live show, the Who Is Your Guy hitmaker said many people underestimate his financial status because he maintains a low profile.
“If I stop making music today, I’m made. A lot of people don’t know that because I don’t brag,” Spyro said.
He explained that his clean, family-friendly brand has carved out a niche that consistently attracts bookings from major organisations, banks, and top-tier personalities, including businessman Tony Elumelu.

Spyro noted that only a handful of Nigerian artists fit the criteria for corporate events where organisers prioritise “clean music” due to the presence of children or high-profile guests.
“I really don’t do industry shows. I do corporate shows. I have carved a niche for myself in the industry like that,” he said.
“I get booked for events by banks and elites like Tony Elumelu every end of the year. Because when they are looking for clean music, maybe because children are going to be at the event, only few artists like myself, Chike and Johnny Drille can be called upon.”
Spyro added that the reliability of these bookings ensures long-term financial stability, even if he slows down on mainstream music releases
