Reality TV star and influencer Natacha Akide, popularly known as Symply Tacha, has officially entered the Guinness World Records after setting two new records for the most cosmetic makeovers in 8 hours and 24 hours.
The record-breaking feat took place on October 11 at a makeup station in Lagos, where Tacha completed 82 makeovers in 8 hours and an impressive 144 in 24 hours, despite a fierce storm and repeated power outages that nearly halted the event.
According to Guinness World Records adjudicators, both records were verified and confirmed, marking a milestone achievement for the Nigerian entrepreneur and beauty influencer.
Recalling the intense challenge, Tacha said:
“We faced a nine-hour storm that disrupted everything. The rain poured so heavily that our screens, monitors, and branding fell apart. The wind scattered the setup, and we had to rebuild the venue from scratch mid-event.”
She added that her team faced multiple power cuts during the 24-hour session:
“The lights went off three or four times, but I refused to stop. My team turned on their phone flashlights, and I kept doing makeovers in the dark. It wasn’t just about makeup anymore — it was about proving that nothing could stop us.”
The Big Brother Naija alum’s determination inspired many online, as videos from the event showed the transformations of dozens of excited participants who praised her artistry and resilience.
Tacha expressed gratitude to her team, models, and fans for standing by her throughout the marathon, describing the record as “a victory for every Nigerian woman who dares to dream big.”
