The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced Thursday, November 6, 2025, as the official date for the Passing-Out Ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 corps members, marking the completion of their one-year mandatory national service.
In a statement released on Monday, the NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, said the management had approved a low-key ceremony nationwide to commemorate the event.
According to the statement, activities leading up to the passing-out date will begin with job advisory and counselling sessions across all local government areas, aimed at helping corps members transition smoothly into post-service life and career development.

The process will also include the signing and issuance of final clearance letters by Zonal Inspectors to outgoing corps members.
“The Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, wishes all the corps members passing out, including the Monitoring Officers on assignment, a successful winding-up and passing-out exercise,” the statement added.
The 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream One orientation course, held between October 23 and November 12, 2024, took place simultaneously across the 37 NYSC orientation camps nationwide.
NYSC’s decision to adopt a modest ceremony aligns with its recent practice of ensuring a disciplined and cost-effective event while maintaining the significance of the occasion for the outgoing corps members.
The passing-out ceremony traditionally marks the end of a pivotal chapter for thousands of young Nigerians who have contributed to national unity through service in education, health, agriculture, and community development sectors.
