The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the commencement of online applications for its Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 46/2025, calling on qualified Nigerians to join the elite force dedicated to defending the nation’s airspace.
In a statement posted on its official X handle, the Air Force said the online registration, which is free of charge, will begin on October 14 and close on November 25, 2025.
Interested applicants are advised to complete their registration via the official portal — nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.
According to the NAF, upon submission of the online form, applicants are required to print out three key documents:
- Acknowledgement Slip
- Parent/Guardian Consent Form
- Local Government Area Attestation Form
The attestation form must be endorsed by an authorized individual such as a military officer (not below the rank of Wing Commander or its equivalent in the Army or Navy), a Chief Superintendent of Police, a local government chairman or secretary, or a magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin.

The Air Force added that the attestation must include a passport photograph and a photocopy of a valid means of identification (driver’s licence, national ID card, or international passport) of the signatory.
Applicants must be Nigerian citizens, medically and physically fit, and free from any criminal convictions.
For non-tradesmen/women, applicants must:
- Be between 18 and 22 years old.
- Have a minimum of five credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS.
- Possess their secondary school testimonials.
For tradesmen/women, candidates must:
- Be between 18 and 27 years old.
- Hold an ND/NCE with at least Lower Credit from an accredited institution.
- Meet the same five-credit requirement, including English and Mathematics.
Applicants for driver or technical positions must also have a Trade Test Certificate and a valid driver’s licence.
In addition, sportsmen and sportswomen are required to provide proof of professional experience such as certificates or medals.
The statement further noted that male applicants must not be less than 1.66m tall, while female applicants must not be less than 1.63m.
NAF said the zonal general aptitude test for shortlisted candidates will be announced in due course through the recruitment portal.
