The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the right leader to steer Nigeria at this critical point in its history.
APC spokesman, Seye Oladejo, made the declaration in a statement on Wednesday to commemorate Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary.
“As Nigeria proudly marks 65 years of independence, the Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress congratulates our nation and her resilient citizens,” Oladejo said.
“At this defining moment, it is evident that Nigeria could not have asked for a better leader than President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He is the man for the moment – courageous, visionary, and determined to pull the nation out of the deep hole dug by years of misrule, reckless borrowing, and corruption under the watch of the opposition.”

Oladejo praised Tinubu’s bold economic and political reforms, describing them as tough but necessary steps to reset the country and prepare the ground for long-term renewal.
He contrasted Tinubu’s leadership with that of opposition figures, accusing them of corruption and selfish ambition.
“Unlike those who mortgage the future of generations yet unborn for selfish political survival, President Tinubu has displayed uncommon boldness in confronting decades of decay with reforms that are already laying a solid foundation for national renewal,” he said.
The Lagos APC spokesman also referred to Tinubu as “reformer-in-chief,” adding that the president has shown commitment to building a new Nigeria anchored on opportunities, justice, and shared prosperity.
Oladejo urged Nigerians to rally behind Tinubu’s administration and remain united in support of the APC.
“As we celebrate 65 years of independence, we urge Nigerians to reject the merchants of lies and retrogression in the opposition. The journey to greatness has begun, and with Asiwaju at the helm, Nigeria is on course to claim her rightful place as the giant of Africa,” he added.
