Nigeria has announced the theme for it’s 65th Independence Day celebrations as the country prepares to mark the anniversary on October 1.
The official theme, “Nigeria @ 65: All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation,” was unveiled in Abuja last week by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

According to the Director of Information and Public Relations, Segun Imohiosen, the theme underlines the importance of unity, patriotism, and collaboration between government, the private sector, civil society, and citizens in advancing peace, prosperity, as well as progress.

The government said the choice of theme reflected Nigeria’s resilience since independence in 1960 and the need to build on past achievements while pursuing new national goals under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
