Legendary Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, celebrated his 50th birthday in Lagos on Friday, drawing praise, prayers, and a lighthearted charge from his mother-in-law.
Mrs. Osawaru, who joined the family gathering, showered the music icon with warm words and blessings. While lauding his youthful appearance and successful career, she also seized the occasion to urge the singer and his wife, Natasha, to consider expanding their family.
“It’s a joy and delight to have you as my son-in-law… Innocent Idibia, at 50, you’re looking 25,” Mrs. Osawaru said. “When some of us are praying to age gracefully, God has done it for you already. You will continue to age gracefully, in Jesus’ name. Amen. By the time we come next, we will see the baby crawling around.”

Her remarks, which blended prayers with playful expectation, drew laughter among guests at the celebration and have since stirred conversations online.
