Nollywood actress and producer Pamela Okoye has described marriage as “beautiful” and something she looks forward to, while also sharing her career ambitions and experiences in the film industry.

Okoye, who hails from Anambra State, said marriage does not intimidate her despite public concerns about its challenges.
Marriage is beautiful; it doesn’t scare me at all. It was designed by God, and even with its ups and downs, with the right partner it remains a beautiful union,” she said.
The actress revealed she is open to marrying within or outside the entertainment industry, explaining that her perspective has evolved over time.
I once felt I would not marry from the industry, but now I’ve realised in life you should never say never,” she added.
Addressing recurring concerns of sexual coercion in Nollywood, Okoye stated she has never faced such an experience.
It’s just about drawing boundaries. I don’t feel bad about it; I feel loved,” she noted. knew some people fell into situations like that, but I was never in a position where someone would tell me I had to sleep with them for a role,” she said.
On coping with public attention, the actress acknowledged receiving numerous unsolicited and sometimes inappropriate messages from admirers. She maintained, however, that boundaries help her navigate such encounters.
It’s just about drawing boundaries. I don’t feel bad about it; I feel loved,” she noted.
Beyond acting, Okoye expressed interest in producing and working across borders in the global film industry. She also plans to establish a platform that will nurture young, aspiring talents.
“I want to create opportunities for others, especially for those who may not have access to platforms that can help them grow,” she said.
Speaking on her dual role as actress and producer, Okoye highlighted the distinct challenges both roles present. She described acting as requiring the ability to “lose oneself in another character,” while producing, she said, demands resilience and strong coordination to manage multiple moving parts on set.
Despite the pressures, she stressed the importance of professionalism and maintaining a positive atmosphere while working.
