President Bola Tinubu on Friday paid a condolence visit to the late President Muhammadu Buhari’s family in Kaduna State.
The President was accompanied by Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the Speaker of the House of Representatives Abbas Tajudeen, ministers, senators, state governors, and other top government officials.
Tinubu was warmly received by Aisha Buhari, widow of the late former president, who welcomed him on behalf of the family and her children.
Earlier on arrival in Kaduna, President Tinubu also attended the wedding of Nasirudeen Yari, son of former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdullaziz Yari, and his bride, Safiyya Idris. The ceremony took place at the Sultan Bello Mosque in Kaduna.
Former President Muhammadu Buhari passed away on July 13, 2025, at The London Clinic after a prolonged illness.
His remains were flown into Nigeria and received by President Tinubu at Katsina Airport before being laid to rest in Daura with full military honours, gun salutes, and Islamic burial rites befitting a former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
